What to Make of Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal

Tab Trade - The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker this new, that coverage is solid.

Platforms

Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural after comparing.

FIX API is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Works for beginners.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform quote a much wider range.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says what kind of broker this is.

Combine that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Here is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It does be part of your decision.

The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Welcome Offer

Tab Trade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
